“Piazza Navona, Rome” is the grand prize winner of the 2020 Accenti “Capture an Italian Moment” Photo Contest. The photo was shot in Rome in 2018.
About the photo, Giuseppe Cardoni says, “I really like street photography as a representation of the ‘flow of life,’ which I think very closely resembles humanistic reportage.”
Giuseppe Cardoni trained as an engineer. He is the author of several books of photography, including STTL La terra ti sia lieve with Luca Cardinalini (2006), Miserere with Luigi Loretoni (2011), and Jazz Notes (2019). His work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. His preferred medium is black & white reportage. He lives in Umbria. www.giuseppecardoni.it
