Dairy Queen

Oil on canvas 30" x 30" (2016)

Influenced by the pop art movement of the 1960s and the photorealists of the early 1970s, Corrado Cusmano’s “Dairy Queen”draws on the collective memory of a bygone era – childhood recollections of simpler days and even simpler pleasures. Yes, you could have your ice cream and eat it too.

Corrado Cusmano has worked as a graphic designer and creative director for more than 35 years, in the corporate, retail and publishing sectors. He has been Accenti Magazine’s creative director since the magazine was launched in 2003. With an eye towards illusory perfection, he juggles his professional commitments with his personal passions and is preparing an exhibit of his work. He lives in Montreal with his wife and son.
